大樂透玩法於2004年發行，從49個號碼中選擇6個號碼投注，開獎時會開出6個號碼與1個特別號，最初為每周一跟四開獎，不過從2006年3月24日期改為每周二跟四開獎。最後在2007年改為每周二跟五開獎，沿用至今。

從2013年開始，大樂透玩法在春節期間實施加碼活動，除了每天都開獎，另外每日加開「春節大紅包」，開獎方式為49選6(無特別號)，共一百組。

自2017年起，「春節大紅包」，調整為49個號碼中開出9個號碼，只需對中任6個號碼即中獎，而從2016年起，每逢端午節、中秋節及雙十節都會實施加碼活動，非春節期間然為每周二跟五開獎。

而大樂透要中幾個號碼才有錢？撇除春節加碼，正常大樂透玩法需對中當期獎號任3個號碼才有錢，普獎的獎金金額為400元台幣，總中獎率約1/32。
